Black Honey: Old Skool Heavy Metal with a Mallorcan Heart and Dutch Fire

Born from Grit. Fueled by Fire. Played with Heart.

Black Honey is what happens when the raw grit of Mallorcan rock veterans collides with the powerhouse vocals of a Dutch fire-haired frontwoman. Born in Es Llombards in August 2024, the band is a high-voltage mix of experience, fresh blood, and pure rock ’n roll instinct. Loud guitars, sweat, attitude — and a crowd that never stands still.

The Lineup

The Foundation
Our rhythm section carries years of battle scars from the local rock scene, with roots in bands like Backdoors, Lost Rock and Voragines. This is where the groove locks in and the engine of Black Honey runs hot.

The Voice – “The Red Panda”
Our Dutch frontwoman Laura went from karaoke host to full-throttle rock vocalist in no time. After a short detour into pop-rock under the name LaVuura — complete with blonde wig, glitter stilettos and ABBA songs — she quickly realized that wasn’t her natural habitat. Rock ’n roll called her back.
She also laughs so hard she sometimes cries mid-rehearsal… and when the make-up runs, the Red Panda is born.

Second Guitar – “The Abeja”
David is always there — the steady worker bee of Black Honey. With loads of experience from bands like Backdoors and a Bon Jovi tribute, he brings precision, groove and reliability to the hive.
And yes… despite pretending otherwise, he’s secretly very proud of his nickname: The Abeja.

The Future – “The Mono”
Dani, the youngest in the crew, was already in the audience at Black Honey’s very first show — as an 11-year-old kid. Now he’s on stage with us. His lack of experience is more than compensated by an outrageous amount of natural talent. This little monkey evolves fast, and his energy has become a key part of our sound.

"The Cabra"  (Bass & Power Vocals)
Julián is the groove monster on bass and a second powerhouse on vocals. When he’s not locking in the low end, he’s busy “cleaning the dance floor” during gigs — sliding, jumping and somehow ending up everywhere at once.
He also has a dangerous habit of stealing the drummer’s seat whenever he gets the chance. Blink once, and your drummer might be standing while Julián is behind the kit.

The Anchor (Drums)
Schoolteacher by day, drummer by night. Guillem is the calmest man you’ll ever meet — and the only one capable of tranquilizing the rest of the band when the chaos level hits red.
Before Black Honey, he played in a Bon Jovi tribute together with The Abeja — proof that this rhythm section goes way back.

The Wildcard

The Joker
Every great rock story needs a wildcard — and Victor is ours. Before our Dutchie and guitar prodigy joined (yes, this man needed two replacements), Victor was the driving force as lead vocalist and guitarist.
Though no longer part of the official lineup, he never really left the building. Within Black Honey he’s known as The Joker: a musical chameleon who can jump in as singer, guitarist, bassist or even drummer when needed.
Don’t be surprised if he storms the stage mid-set to make sure Música Ligera doesn’t turn into a “guiri version.” He’s not on the payroll anymore, but he’s forever part of the Black Honey DNA.   Either keeping us sharp in rehearsals or joining the fun on stage.

The Sound

Black Honey is on a mission to put old-school heavy metal back on the map. Their live set is a high-energy tribute to Megadeth, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, and Spanish rock icons like Héroes del Silencio and Arde Bogotá.
Alongside iconic covers, Black Honey is rapidly building its own original material to carve out a unique place in the modern rock scene.

From Garage to the Island’s Stages

From sweaty bars to Mallorca’s biggest rock nights, Black Honey turns every stage into a pressure cooker of volume, sweat and shared chaos.

“At our core, we are musical misfits who never let the inner child die. No matter how hard life hits, we stay in the music. We chase the dream and savour every chord we strike.”
